Maresca Lumber has been a family owned and operated business since 1983 when Frank and Tom Maresca opened Maresca Home Center. However, its roots date back even further than that, when Frank Maresca Sr. opened Fairmount Home Center in Jersey City in 1954. Frank and Tom learned the business from the ground up by working with their father as teenagers and after college. After many years of learning the business, Frank and Tom decided that it was time to branch off on their own and purchased the former location of Van Ness Lumber in Pequannock, NJ. Upon retiring, Frank Sr. joined his sons in Pequannock part-time, and was a staple at the front desk for years.  Customers could spend hours talking to him about anything and everything.

Over the years, Frank and Tom have continued to build and invest in the business.  In 1993, the location underwent an extensive renovation and modernization. In 1997, the firm re-branded itself as Maresca Lumber and Building Materials to reflect its expanded inventory.  What started out as an old, tired showroom with no warehouse and just one forklift and truck, was expanded to include a 15,000 square foot warehouse with a full line of inventory and a fleet of trucks and forklifts.

Frank and Tom continue to educate themselves and their employees as new products and building trends emerge.  Just as they did back in 1983, they are careful to offer the best selection of high-quality products and continue to deliver superb customer service.
